LogoYes ReviewLogoYes claims to have introduced the first do-it-yourself (DIY) logo creation process. I'm not sure if that's true but I really don't care. LogoYes is a great tool for small business owners who require one or more logos but want to keep the price reasonable. In this review, I'll show you how easy it is to create a logo. I'm going to take you step-by-step through the process of creating a logo for a fictional company named Ambrosia Jewelry. By the way, LogoYes allows you to create as many logos using their online service as you want. There is no charge to play around and create logos. You only have to pay if you decide you actually want to use the logo for your company. We'll get to all the pricing options a bit later. For now, I want to show you how easy it is to create your own corporate logo - even if you have no design experience. Take a look at the below logos. They were all created with the LogoYes online logo creation system. Pretty nice, huh?
I'm now going to take you through the 5 steps of creating your own unique company logo that, if you wish, can be trademarked.
Step 1: Choose A Basic Style LogoYes takes you through a very intuitive step-by-step process for creating your company logo. The first step is to select from a logo style. There are three options to get you going; High-Tech, Bold, and Flair. You simply click on the option you would like to start with.
Step 2: Select Your Industry Once you have selected a basic style, the next step is to find your industry. Don't feel constrained with this step. You always have the option of going back to look at other industry categories.
Step 3: Select a Symbol After you have selected your industry, you will be presented with several pages of symbol designs. Page through and select a symbol that appeals to you. For my fictional company, Ambrosia Jewelry, I selected the diamond symbol at the extreme lower left.
Step 4: Add Your Company Name After you have selected your symbol, you will then add your company name and select an appropriate font.
Step 5: Position Your Elements & Add Color In this step, you will be able to position the various elements in relation to each other, change their size, and add color. You'll be able to rotate, flip, and size each element individually. I decided to position all my elements a little tighter, make my symbol blue, change the font, and make the word "Ambrosia" slightly larger.
And that is it folks! Very easy and very simple. You can go through this process as many times as you want until you find the perfect logo for your company. Once you do, you simply pay $69 and LogoYes will email you all the files in various formats including .eps, .jpg, and .gif. You will be able to immediately use your files on your website, emails, stationary and business cards.
For an extra $30, LogoYes has a final optional step that will instantly create a matching business card with your logo. Below is a shot of the one I created in about 15 seconds.
There should be absolutely no problem with designing something that will work well for you and your business. However, if you just can't seem to pull something together, LogoYes does offer a logo service where you can work directly with a design specialist. This service costs $289 and will provide you with three custom logo design choices. I also want to mention a personal experience I had with LogoYes in the design of my business cards. I finalized my business card and only after I received the final files did I realize my company zip code was cut off. I went back to the original and realized it was there as well. Oops, my fault! I thought I might get charged for having them fix the error. I emailed them and was surprised to get an answer back in just a few minutes. They immediately fixed my error and resent the files at no extra charge. Now that's the kind of service that will keep me coming back. The only issue I have with LogoYes is that they didn't offer enough flexibility with their business card design. It would be nice to add your company tag line to the front of the card but there are no options adding and moving around additional text boxes. In addition, they should offer the ability to print a message on the back of the card. This would allow you to perhaps advertise a special URL for a free report download or to go into more detail on your company value proposition. One additional minor problem. If you pay the extra $30 for matching business cards, LogoYes will give you 100 cards for free. The slight issue here is that LogoYes sends you to a third party for the printing of the cards. The name of this company is Overnight Prints and while I was easily able to upload my business card file and take advantage of the free 100 business cards, I was a little turned off to find the shipping charge for my cards was $9.95. A small issue overall but overcharging for shipping is one of my pet peeves. In summary, I feel the value provided by LogoYes is outstanding. If you have a need for any type of logo design work, give them a try. I highly recommend them! Use the special link below to try our their online logo creation process. I promise you'll like it!
